Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center

Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre is the most important exhibition and convention venue in Hong Kong. The impressive building is located in the heart of Wanchai and next to ferry Pier and can be accessed by the scenic Star Ferry.

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) opened in November 1988, after which Hong Kong's exhibition industry experienced a period of rapid growth enabling Hong Kong to establish its position as Asia's trade fair capital and a premier international convention and meeting location.

Rising from reclaimed land an artificial island, the exhibition center become fairly symbolic and important building as the spot of hand-over of Hong Kong back to China in 1997. It has become a major venue for many major ceremonies, exhibitions and expos.

The new wing of the exhibition center is in a bird-shaped, with its unique harbor-facing glass curtain wall which is the largest in the world offers spectacular view over Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and Harbour. It is the new and most prominent landmark around Victoria Harbor.

Besides functioning as a conference center and banquet hall, there are numerous offices, restaurants and theaters in the building. There are two Harbor view hotels within the center and staying in either would be ideal choice if visitors at an event in the Center.
