Yalong Bay

Arguably one of the most beautiful parts of China’s Hainan Island, Yalong Bay is a 7.5 kilometer long crescent-shaped bay. The bay boasts white sand beaches, clear blue water, rolling hills, and beautiful vegetation. Temperatures in Yanglong Bay average 25.5 C all year. The bay is located on the southernmost part of Hainan Province. It is 25 kilometers away from Sanya City. The bay is also home to several coral reefs making it a favorite with scuba divers.
Yalong Bay Resort, opened in 1992 is a state level tourist resort. The resort is home to seaside parks, villas, high-end hotels and golf courses. It is very popular with those who want their visit to be something special. Shell Hall, of Yalong Bay occupies an area of 3,000 square meters and is located in the resort’s central hall offers a comprehensive exhibition of sea shells.
Butterfly Valley, located north of Yalong Bay, presents butterfly species found in China and across the world. There are five halls which exhibit the butterflies.
