Day 1Arrival in Hong Kong

Upon your arrival in Hong Kong, your local guide will meet you and escort you to check into your hotel. The rest of the day for you to have relax, or explore the city.

Day 2Hong Kong

Sites Visited: Hong Kong Repulse Bay, Wong Tai Sin Temple, Victoria Peak

After breakfast, you will be driven to Central for your tram ride up to Victoria Peak, which will give you a fantastic bird's eye view of Hong Kong. After a little bit rest, head to the famous Wong Tai Sin Temple where old beliefs and traditions survive in this modern city. Then proceed to visit Aberdeen where you will see an entire community living on small houseboats as they have for centuries, or to visit Lantau Island for Big Buddha and Da'ao Fishing Village.

Then you will go to the romantic beach of Repulse Bay and explore the Stanley Market to find some of your favorite souvenirs for your family or friends, where is the most luxurious section of Hong Kong.

Day 3Hong Kong/Guilin

Sites Visited: Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill

After breakfast, you will take a morning flight to Guilin. Upon arrival in Guilin, you will transfer to visit Reed Flute Cave. The cave's many bizarre stalagmites and stalactites make visitors feel like they have stepped into another world. You will then be driven to Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin, which offers commanding views of Guilin City and the Li River.

Day 4Guilin/ Yangshuo/ Guilin

Sites Visited: Yangshuo West Street, Li River Cruise

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver will transfer you to the Zhujiang pier to board the ship for Li River cruise (4 hours) from Guilin to Yangshuo. It is one of the great waterways to admire the picturesque scenery along the river sides. Upon arrival at Yangshuo, you will have a stroll along the famous West Street. This is a vibrant place alive with cafes, pubs, restaurants and where many westerners gather.

Tips: Today we kindly suggest you have a larger breakfast at the hotel this morning as the lunch provided on the cruise is less than adequate. The cruise arrives at terminal Yangshuo at around 13:30 to 14:30 according to the different water flows. There are many cafes available in Yangshuo.

Optional activites for late afternoon:
1. Attend a Chinese cooking course in a cooking school
2. Learn Taichi for 1-2 hours.
3. Li River Beer Fish is recommended for dinner.
4. Night show options: Commorants Fishing or Impression Liu Sanjie

A cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience for stunning scenery. In Yangshuao, there's something interesting such as lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river, fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants.

Impressions of Liusanjie performance. The Performance, directed by Zhang Yimou, China's premiere movie director and director of the Beijing Olympics' Opening Ceremony, is made up of hundreds of people and is performed on the Li River with the mountains as the backdrop. It is an unforgettable experience.


Yangshuo West Street

Day 5Guilin Yangshuo/Longsheng

Sites Visited: Longji Terraced Rice Fields

There are three options for morning enjoyment: Enjoy a countryside biking, a bamboo rafting on the Yulong River and a helicopter tour over Yangshuo.

An afternoon drive (about 2.5 hours) from Yanghuo to Longji Rice Terraces. And then you will enjoy the dusk/sunset view of rice terraces around Zhuang and Yao minority villages. The terraces look like ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of some hills. The villages feature traditional wooden architecture where no nails are used in construction. The different ethnic minority customs and dress are especially interesting. Stayovernight at Ping'an Zhuang Village.


Longji Terraced Rice Fields

Day 6Guilin/Longsheng/Chongqing

Meals: B,L

Get up early to take a morning walk around Ping'an Zhuang Village for a sunrise view of Longji Terraced Rice Fields. After breakfast, you will go to Huangluo Yao Village to see Long-hair Women and their performance. Then drive back to Guilin for the later afternoon flight to Chongqing.

Upon your arrival in Chongqing, your local guide will meet you and escort you to check in your hotel.

Day 7Chongqing/Yangtze River Cruise

Sites Visited: Dazu Rock Carvings

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to visit Dazu Grottoes. Located in Dazu County, the Dazu Grottoes, are located 167 kilometers from Chongqing and are located in several different sites. Carving began in 650, in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) through the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The grottoes feature over 5,000 statues and over 100,000 characters. The grottoes have Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian carvings, with Buddhist carvings being the dominant type. In the evening when it is time to board your Yangtze River cruise ship, your guide will take you to the docks. After boarding on the boat you can have a good rest.

Day 8Yangtze River Cruise

Sites Visited: White Emperor City, Shibaozhai Temple

In the morning after breakfast, your ship will dock for your shore excursion to Shibaozhai or the White Emperor City. The captain will choose based on the weather situation. After your shore excursion, you will board your Yangtze River cruise ship and continue on your cruise through the amazing Three Gorges.

In the morning you will board small vessels for your trip through either the Lesser Three Gorges or the Shennong Stream. Your captain will choose depending on weather situation.

Day 10Yangtze River Cruise/Yichang/Shanghai

In the morning after breakfast onboard ship, your Yangtze River Cruise ship will dock and you will have an excursion to the famed Three Gorges Dam, the larges hydro electric dam in the world. After lunch onboard ship, you will disembark your ship in the city of Yichang. Upon your arrival in Yichang, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arriving in Shanghai, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to your hotel.

Three Gorges

Day 11Shanghai

Sites Visited: Yuyuan Garden , The Bund Shanghai

After breakfast, you will start a full day tour in Shanghai to visit the Yu Garden, Shanghai Museum, Town God's Temple, Shikumen, Old Concession Area. Then you will have a bird view of Shanghai city on the top of Jinmao Tower and enjoy coastal sight at the Bund of Shanghai.

Day 12Shanghai/Beijing

Sites Visited: The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square

After breakfast, you will take a morning flight to Beijing. Upon arrival in Beijing, you local guide will meet you and transfer you to visit Tian'anmen Square and the incredible Forbidden City, home to China's Emperors for over 500 years.

Sites Visited: Mutianyu Great Wall

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to visit the majestic Great Wall (Mutianyu Section). After lunch next to the Great Wall you will be driven to visit the Sacred Road, the road leading to the tombs of the Ming Dynasty's Emperors. You will then visit the Ding Tomb, the only excavated imperial Tomb of Ming Dynasty.

On the way back to Beijing downtown, you will have a stop for an outside look of two famous Olimpic sites: Bird Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center).


Mutianyu Great Wall

Day 14Beijing Departure

Sites Visited: Beijing Hutongs

After breakfast, you will pay a morning visit to Beijing Hutongs - the old lanes and courtyard houses. Take a rickshaw or biking to explore Beijing's charming lanes. The visit to a local family, who've lived in the Hutongs for generations, offers a local perspective of history, and is a highlight of the Hutongs for most tourists.

After Hutong tour, Your guide will escort you to the airport for the flight to your next destination.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.

 

Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

 

Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible. 

 

Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local  restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.

 

Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.

 

Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
