Day 1Arrival/Taipei

When you arrive in Taipei, your local guide will meet you at the airport and you will be driven to your hotel. The rest of the night is yours to relax, or head out into the city for an adventure on your own.

Day 2Taipei

Meals: B,L

In the morning, after having breakfast in your hotel, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. The hall, surrounded by a park was erected in the memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China. You will then visit the National Palace Museum. The museum houses artifacts collected by China’s Emperors and have some of the most famous Chinese artwork in the world. After visiting the museum, you will be driven to the National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine. The shrine is dedicated to Chinese who died in war. Its architecture is incredible. You will then be driven to the Danshui Old Street. The street should not be missed. It is home to many shops selling Taiwanese arts, and local snacks. You will then be driven to Longshan Temple, the oldest temple in Taiwan.

Day 3Taipei/Taichung

After you have had breakfast in your hotel, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Sun Moon Lake. The lake is located outside of Taipei in Taichung. The lake is surrounded by mountains and is a gorgeous area. You will then visit Wenwu Temple. This Confucian temple is located near the shore of the lake. Located in the temple complex is the Holy Monk Shrine, the burial place of Xuan Zang, the Buddhist monk who brought Buddhist sutras to China from India. You will then visit Peacock Garden. The garden is home to over 200 peacocks and has many other beautiful species of birds.

Day 4Taichung/Tainan/Kaohsiung

In the morning, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to Tainan City, which was the ancient capital of Taiwan. Once in Tainan City, you will be driven to the Koxinga Shrine. The shrine is unique in that it is a Fujian style shrine. It was built in memory of Cheng Cheng Kung. You will then visit Chihkanlou. Built in the mid 17th century, it was built by the Dutch as an administration center during the Dutch occupation of Taiwan. It has had an incredible history. After visiting Chihkanlou, you will be driven to the Chimei Museum. The museum is quite interesting and has a large collection of very valuable violins, ancient weapons, sculpture, and European art. When you have finished visiting the museum you will be driven to Love River. The river is lined with beautiful parks and is a fun place to stroll and enjoy the beauty of the area.

Day 5Kaohsiung/Kenting/TaitungKaohsiung/Kenting/Taitung

In the morning, after you have had breakfast in your hotel, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Kenting National Park. The park is home to the most beautiful natural forest in Taiwan. You will then visit Maopitou, the southern-most tip of Taiwan Island. The landscape here is stunning and it is a wonderful place to enjoy the sea. You will then visit the Oluanpi Lighthouse. Built in the late Qing Dynasty, the lighthouse open to the public.

Day 6Taitung/Hualien

Meals: B,L

After having breakfast in your hotel, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to the East Coast National Scenic Area. Known as Taiwan’s last unspoiled landscape, the area is located on the east coast of Taiwan Island. The rock formations here are bizarre and incredibly beautiful.

Day 7Hualien/Taipei

Meals: B,L

In the morning, your local guide will meet you, and you will be driven to the Taroko National Park. Known as one of the “Seven Wonders of Asia”, the park is exceptionally beautiful. The area is known for its natural beauty and flora and fauna. Its narrow ravine was created by the Liwu River.

Day 8Taipei/Departure

Meals: B

On this day you will be free until your local guide meets you and you are driven to the Taipei International Airport for your flight home.

Price Includes:

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.

 

Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

 

Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible. 

 

Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local  restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.

 

Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.

 

Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

 

Tour Arrangements:

The tour cost includes the planning, handling, booking, operation and communication charges.
