Day 1Arrival in Beijing

Upon your arrival at Beijing's airport, your local guide will meet you and escort you to check in the hotel. The rest of the day for you to relax or explore the city.

Day 2Beijing

Sites Visited: The Forbidden City, The Summer Palace

After breakfast, your guide will meet you and escort you to visit the incredible Forbidden City, home to China’s Emperors for over 500 years. After lunch, you will be driven to the exquisite Summer Palace, where you will marvel at the opulence of this imperial summer resort. In the evening you will visit the hottest gay bar in Beijing.

Sites Visited: The Sacred Road, Beijing Roast Duck , Badaling Great Wall

Today you will start with a morning visit to the majestic Great Wall (Badaling Section). After lunch next to the Great Wall you will be driven to visit the Sacred Road, the road leading to the tombs of the Ming Dynasty’s Emperors. You will then visit the Ding Tomb, the only excavated imperial Ming Dynasty Tomb with underground palace. On the way back to Beijing downtown, you will have a stop for an outside look of two famous Olimpic site: Bird Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center).

In the evening you will be taken to enjoy a Peking (Beijing) Duck Banquet at the oldest and most famous Peking (Beijing) Duck restaurant in China.


The Sacred Road

Day 4Beijing/Xi'an

Sites Visited: Beijing Hutongs

After breakfast, you will visit Beijing Hutongs - the old lanes and courtyard houses. Take a rickshaw or biking to explore Beijing's charming lanes. The visit to a local family, who've lived in the Hutongs for generations, offers a local perspective of history, and is a highlight of the Hutongs for most of tourists.

After lunch you will be driven to train station for the bullet train to Xian (5 hours), another of China's ancient capitals. Upon arrival in Xian, your local guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel for rest.

Sites Visited: Terra Cotta Warriors & Horses , Tang Dynasty Show, Ancient City Wall

Today, your full-day Xi'an tour will start with a morning visit to the world famous Terracotta Warriors. Go on to visit the Daqin terra-cotta making factory see all kinds of models of Terracotta Warriors. After that you will go on a walk or a biking on the top of Ancient City Wall to get a bird's eye view of this ancient capital. Then visit Xi'an Muslim Street for a relax.

Option: In the evening you may choose to enjoy an Chinese Dumplings Feast and amazing Tang Dynasty Show, which bring the pageantry and music of the ancient Tang Dynasty to life.


Terra Cotta Warriors & Horses

Day 6Xian/Shanghai

Sites Visited: The Bund Shanghai, Nanjing Road

After breakfast, you will escort you to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, your local guide will meet you and escort you to enjoy coastal sight at the Bund of Shanghai. Known as a ‘museum of western architecture’, The Bund was Shanghai’s financial district. Its buildings were designed and built by western architects, using western construction methods.

After the visit to the Bund, you will visit Nanjing Road. Known as China’s No.1 shopping street, the road is lined with name brand boutiques and shops selling everything from high end fashion, to traditional Chinese art. In the evening, you will be driven to Shanghai Studio, Shanghai’s hippest gay club.

Sites Visited: Shanghai Old Concession Area, Shanghai Museum

Today you will start with a morning visit the Shanghai Museum, Town God's Temple, Shikumen, Old Concession Area. Then you will have a bird view of Shanghai city on the top of Jinmao Tower.

Day 8Shanghai/Suzhou/Shanghai

Sites Visited: No.1 Silk Factory, The Pan Gate, Humble Administrator Garden

In the morning, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to Suzhou. In Suzhou, you will first visit the Pan Gate, the only surviving water/land gate in China. Originally part of Suzhou’s city wall, the gate is located in the center of an incredible area filled with gardens, traditional pavilions, and koi filled ponds.

After visit the gate, you will be driven to the No.1 Silk Factory, where you will learn how the humble silk worm’s cocoon is transformed into the shimmering fabric known around the world. After that you will be driven to the Humble Administrator's Garden. One of the most famous gardens in China, the garden is filled with incredible architecture, rockeries, and ponds. It is an unforgettable experience. After visiting the garden, you will be driven back to Shanghai


No.1 Silk Factory

Day 9Shanghai

Meals: B,L
Sites Visited: Zhujiajiao Ancient Town

After breakfast, you will visit historic Zhujiajiao Village (50 minute drive from Shanghai). At Zhujiajiao, you will walk through Fangsheng Bridge, Beida Street, and the Kezhi Garden. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time. After your trip to this beautiful village, you will be driven back to Shanghai to visit TianZiFang.

After breakfast you will be free relax until your local guide meets you and escort you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.

 

Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

 

Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible. 

 

Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local  restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.

 

Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.

 

Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
