Day 1Arrival/Beijing

Upon your arrival at Beijing's airport, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or explore the city on your own.

Day 2Beijing

Sites Visited: The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven

This morning, you will first come to Tiananmen Square which has witnessed the nation's ups and downs since the 15th century. Then go to visit the Chinese History Museum. Then you will be driven to visit the incredible Forbidden City, home to China's Emperors for over 500 years. You will then be drive to visit the magnificent Temple of Heaven, which was where China's Emperors prayed to heaven. After you will go to visit a Pearl store where you can see all kinds of exquisite pearls.
Optional: in the evening you are free to choose enjoy the Chinese Acrobatic Show.


The Forbidden City

Day 3Beijing

Sites Visited: The Summer Palace, 2008 Beijing Olympics' Venues, Badaling Great Wall

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to visit the majestic Great Wall (Badaling Section). Then you will go to visit a Jade store. And also a cloisonne factory. After lunch, you will be driven to the exquisite Summer Palace, where you will marvel at the opulence of this imperial summer getaway. On the way back to the hotel, you will pass by the permanent site of 2008 Olympics where the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (National Aquatics Center) are located.

Special cultural experience: In the evening you will be taken to enjoy a Peking (Beijing) Duck Banquet at a famous Peking (Beijing) Duck restaurant in China.


The Summer Palace

Day 4Beijing/Shanghai

Sites Visited: Beijing Hutongs

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be taken on a rickshaw ride through the ancient lanes and alleyways of Beijing's Hutongs. After seeing how local Beijingers have been living for centuries. After you will go to the DAD-Dashanzi Art District. It is known as a art gallery. Then you will go to see the Houhai. The area is especially popular with foreign tourists visiting Beijing and famous for its bars and cafes. Then you will go to the Wangfujing which is the most well-known and prosperous business street with modern and fashion trends. In the evening you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. After you arrived in Shanghai you local guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for rest.


Beijing Hutongs

Day 5Shanghai

Meals: B,L
Sites Visited: Yuyuan Garden , Yuyuan Market, The Bund Shanghai, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Nanjing Road

After having breakfast, you will visit the ancient Yuyuan Garden, which is the only surviving ancient garden in Shanghai. After visiting the garden you will be taken to the Yuyuan Market located outside the garden, where you will be amazed at the quality and quantity of beautiful items for sale. The Yuyuan Market is extremely popular with visitors and locals alike. You will then be driven to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower to get a bird's eye view of Shanghai from within its unique architectural orbs. Also visit the Shanghai History museum on the first floor of the TV tower where you can see old Shanghai people's life style. After you will go visit a Traditional Chinese medicine store to know more about them. You will then stroll down The Bund, and the nearby Nanjing Road, known as the number one shopping street in China.


Yuyuan Garden

Day 6Shanghai

Sites Visited: Zhujiajiao Ancient Town

After breakfast, you will visit historic Zhujiajiao Village (50 minute drive from Shanghai). At Zhujiajiao, you will walk through Fangsheng Bridge, Beida Street, and the Kezhi Garden. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time. After your trip to this beautiful village, you will be driven back to Shanghai to visit TianZiFang.


Zhujiajiao Ancient Town

Day 7Shanghai/Departure

Meals: B

After breakfast in your hotel, you will be free to step out into Shanghai for an adventure on your own before your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight home.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.

 

Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

 

Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible. 

 

Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local  restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.

 

Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.

 

Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

 

Tour Arrangements:

The tour cost includes the planning, handling, booking, operation and communication charges.
