Day 1Arrival/Beijing

Upon your arrival at Beijing‘s airport, your local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or explore the city.

Day 2Beijing

Sites Visited: The Forbidden City, The Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to visit the incredible Forbidden City, home to China's Emperors for over 500 years. After lunch, you will be driven to the exquisite Summer Palace, where you will marvel at the opulence of this imperial summer getaway. You will then be drive to visit the magnificent Temple of Heaven, which was where China's Emperors prayed to heaven.
Optional: In the evening you will be mesmerized by a Peking (Beijing) Opera performance in Beijing's famous Liyuan Theatre.
Note: The opera will have English and Japanese subtitles.


The Forbidden City

Day 3Beijing

Sites Visited: The Sacred Road, Beijing Roast Duck , Badaling Great Wall

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to visit the majestic Great Wall (Badaling Section). After lunch next to the Great Wall you will be driven to visit the Sacred Road, the road leading to the tombs of the Ming Dynasty's Emperors. You will then visit the Ding Tomb, the only excavated imperial Ming Dynasty Tomb.
In the evening you will be taken to enjoy a Peking (Beijing) Duck Banquet at the oldest and most famous Peking (Beijing) Duck restaurant in China.


The Sacred Road

Day 4Beijing/Zhengzhou

Sites Visited: Beijing Hutongs

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be taken on a rickshaw ride through the ancient lanes and alleyways of Beijing's Hutongs. After seeing how local Beijingers have been living for centuries, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Zhengzhou. Upon your arrival at Zhengzhou, your local guide will meet you and you will be taken on a tour of Zhengzhou City.

Day 5Zhengzhou/Kaifeng/Zhengzhou

Sites Visited: Iron Pagoda, Dragon Pavilion

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Dragon Pavilion Scenic Area. This beautiful park is built around the ancient Dragon Pavilion. After visiting the park you will go to the Iron pagoda. Known as the most beautiful pagoda in China, the Iron Pagoda got its name because its glazed bricks make it look like it is made of iron. You will then go to the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden. The garden brings China's ancient Song Dynasty's beauty and pageantry to life. This park was extremely well designed and its workers wear authentically recreated Song Dynasty clothing. This is a beautiful theme park. After visiting the park you will be driven back to Zhengzhou.


Iron Pagoda

Day 6Zhengzhou/Dengfenghen

Sites Visited: Shaolin Temple

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to visit the Henan Museum, which displays an incredible collection of priceless artifacts. You will then be driven to the Shaolin Temple where you will explore the ancient temples and the Pagoda Forest before watching the Shaolin Kungfu Performance.

Day 7Dengfeng

Sites Visited: Shaolin Temple

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven back to the Shaolin Temple for your day of studying the ancient art of Shaolin Kungfu. In your Shaolin Kungfu Class, you will learn about this ancient art. In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional Vegetarian Feast.

Day 8Dengfeng/Luoyang

Sites Visited: White Horse Temple, Longmen Grottoes

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Longmen Grottoes. Carved over a period of almost 600 years, these Buddhist grottoes are stunning in their artistry and execution. After visiting the grottoes, you will be driven to the White Horse Temple. Built almost 2,000 years ago, the temple was built to honor a horse that carried Buddhist Sutras back from India.

Day 9Luoyang/Xian

Meals: B,L

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Luoyang Museum, which houses incredible artifacts from Luoyang. After visiting the museum you will be driven to the train station for your train to Xian. Upon your arrival in Xian, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out into the city of Xian for an adventure on your own.

Sites Visited: Terra Cotta Warriors & Horses , Tang Dynasty Show, Small Wild Goose Pagoda

After having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to visit the incredible Terracotta Warriors. After lunch you will be driven to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area, where you will stroll through the gardenlike area around the pagoda. The area is filled with ancient stone carvings, beautiful landscaping, lakes and traditional Chinese bridges.
Optional: In the evening you are free to choose to take an amazing Jiaozi (Dumpling) Feast followed by the Tang Dynasty Show, which bring the pageantry and music of the ancient Tang Dynasty to life.


Terra Cotta Warriors & Horses

Day 11Xian/Shanghai

Sites Visited: Shanghai Acrobatic Show, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi Provincial Museum

After breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Shaanxi History Museum to discover Xian's amazing history. You will then be driven to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Housed in a huge temple complex, the ancient pagoda was built to house Buddhist Sutras brought to China from India. After visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon your arrival in Shanghai, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to your hotel.
Optional: In the Evening you are free to choose to witness traditional Shanghai local cuisine, a Dim-sum Banquet. After dinner you will be taken to the Shanghai Centre Theatre for the edge of your seat excitement of Chinese Acrobatics.

Day 12Shanghai/Departure

Sites Visited: Yuyuan Garden , Yuyuan Market, Shanghai Museum

In the morning after having breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you and you will be driven to the Yuyuan Garden, the only ancient traditional Chinese garden left in Shanghai. You will then stroll through the streets lined with traditional styled architecture of the Yuyuan Market located outside the garden and get a glimpse into the local's lifestyle. After visiting the market, you will then be driven to the Shanghai Museum, arguably the most comprehensive museum in China which will let you explore China's colorful history. You will then be driven to the airport for your flight home.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.

 

Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

 

Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible. 

 

Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local  restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.

 

Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.

 

Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

 

Tour Arrangements:

The tour cost includes the planning, handling, booking, operation and communication charges.
