Day 1Arrival in Hong Kong

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, your guide will meet you outside the arrival hall at the airport and then transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city. Victoria Cruise for a night option.

Day 2Hong Kong

After breakfast, you will be driven to Central for your tram ride up to Victoria Peak, which will give you a fantastic bird's eye view of Hong Kong. After a short rest, head to the famous Wong Tai Sin Temple where old beliefs and traditions survive in this modern city. Then proceed to visit Aberdeen where you will see an entire community living on small houseboats as they have for centuries, or to visit Lantau Island for Big Buddha and Da'ao Fishing Village.

Then you will go to the romantic beach of Repulse Bay and explore the Stanley Market to find some of your favorite souvenirs for your family or friends, where is the most luxurious section of Hong Kong.

Day 3Hong Kong/Guilin

After breakfast, you will be transfered to airport for the flight to Guilin. Upon arrival in Guilin, our guide will meet you at airport and transfer you to the hotel. Then visit Reed Flute Cave and the symbol of Guilin city - Elephant Trunk Hill.

Day 4Guilin/Yangshuo

Sites Visited: Yangshuo West Street, Li River Cruise

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver will transfer you to the Zhujiang pier to board the ship for Li River cruise (4 hours) from Guilin to Yangshuo. It is one of the great waterways to admire the picturesque scenery along the river sides. Upon arrival at Yangshuo, you will have a stroll along the famous West Street. This is a vibrant place alive with cafes, pubs, restaurants and where many westerners gather.

Tips: Today we kindly suggest you have a larger breakfast at the hotel this morning as the lunch provided on the cruise is less than adequate. The cruise arrives at terminal Yangshuo at around 13:30 to 14:30 according to the different water flows. There are many cafes available in Yangshuo.

Optional activites for late afternoon:
1. Attend a Chinese cooking course in a cooking school
2. Learn Taichi for 1-2 hours.
3. Li River Beer Fish is recommended for dinner.
4. Night show options: Commorants Fishing or Impression Liu Sanjie

A cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience for stunning scenery. In Yangshuao, there's something interesting such as lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river, fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants.

Impressions of Liusanjie performance. The Performance, directed by Zhang Yimou, China's premiere movie director and director of the Beijing Olympics' Opening Ceremony, is made up of hundreds of people and is performed on the Li River with the mountains as the backdrop. It is an unforgettable experience.


Yangshuo West Street

Day 5Yangshuo/Longsheng Longji

There are three options for morning enjoyment: Enjoy a countryside biking, a bamboo rafting on the Yulong River and a helicopter tour over Yangshuo.

An afternoon drive (about 2.5 hours) from Yanghuo to Longji Rice Terraces. And then you will enjoy the dusk/sunset view of rice terraces around Zhuang and Yao minority villages. The terraces look like ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of some hills. The villages feature traditional wooden architecture where no nails are used in construction. The different ethnic minority customs and dress are especially interesting. Stayovernight at Ping'an Zhuang Village.


Yangshuo Biking

Day 6Guilin/Longsheng/Chengdu

Get up early to take a morning walk around Ping'an Zhuang Village for a sunrise view of Longji Terraced Rice Fields. After breakfast, you will visit to Huangluo Yao Village to meet long-hair wowen and watch the ethnic performance.

Then you will be transfered back to Guilin for the afternoon flight to Chengdu. Welcome to Chengdu, the Hometown of Giant Pandas. Meet your local guide at the airport and then transfer to the hotel by a private comfortable vehicle.

In this afternoon, drive you to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the hustling downtown of Chengdu – Wenshu Temple. Marvel at the exquisite Buddhist architecture, soak in the reverent atmosphere, and wander on the peaceful paths.

Chengdu is famous for its relaxing and leisure pace throughout China, which will be proved after a stay in Renmin Park. Sit down, order a pot of Chinese tea, make a casual chat with your friends and watching locals indulging themselves in different kinds of folk entertainment – napping in a lively teahouse, playing mahjong, disco dancing, neck massage, ear cleaning…Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street. Time steals away from you quietly while walking on the lively streets which are full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, etc.

In this evening, you’ll try typical Sichuan cuisine in local restaurant.


Longji Terraced Rice Fields

Day 7Chengdu/Leshan/Mt. Emei

Sites Visited: Leshan Giant Buddha

A morning drive about 2 hours from Chengdu to Leshan Giant Buddha, the largest carved statue of Buddha in the world. Sitting at the confluence of three rivers, the Giant Buddha was carved on the cliff of Lingyun Mountain, used to suppress the flood. Enjoy spectacular view of the huge statue as you walking down through the narrow staircases to the foot of the Buddha.

After visiting the Giant Buddha, move on to Mt. Emei. Located 30 minutes away from Leshan by road, Baoguo Temple is the biggest temple of the mountain, which is also the final site for today’s tour. Stay overnight at the foot of Mt. Emei.

Day 8Mt. Emei/Chengdu

Today your Emei Mountain Tour starts with taking a eco-car in the Scenic Area to Leidongpin and hiking to Jieyin Hall, to take a cable car up to the Golden Summit (altitude: 3077 m). At the highest peak of the mountain, you will be amazed by the awe-inspiring view of Huazhang Temple and witness the breathtaking sea of clouds if it’s sunny.

Next, go down to Wannian Temple parking lot by car. Take a cable car up to Wannian Temple at the middle of the mountain. Appreciate the most beautiful landscape of Mt. Emei in Qingyin Pavilion as you hike from Wannian Temple to Wuxiangang parking lot.

Then return to Chengdu for overnight.


Emei Mountain

Day 9Chengdu/Zhengjiajie

After breakfast, you will take a morning flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, you will be transftered from Zhangjiajie about 1.5 hours to visit Furong Old Town. Furong Town or Hibiscus Town, originally named Wengoun, is an ancient town featured by real Tujiazu ethnic culture, cliff landscape, huge waterfall and river sights.

Then you will be back to Zhangjiajie for overnight

Day 10Zhangjiajie Tianmenshan

Sites Visited: Tianmenshan Mountain

In the early morning, your heart will beat fast at Tianmen Mountain on the worlds longest cable car, the suspended glass walkway almost a mile (1,430 meters) above the ground, and the "99 Bends" mountain road.

Tianmen Mountain is regarded as the 'soul' of Zhangjiajie, Tianmen Mountain is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie. The views include graceful ancient trees, karst hillocks and long roads that are carved from the sides of the cliff. The cable car takes 30 minutes from the city center to the mountain top and is the longest cable in the world.

Walk the Guigu plank road (around 2 hours) built along the cliff in Biyeyaotai scenic area and enjoy the beautiful views clouds, nearby peaks and so on. If you have an interest, you can walk on the glass plank road which offer “sky walk” experience (with extra fee at rmb 20 /pp).

Tianmen Cave (literally Heavens Gate Hole) is a 30-meter-high hole formed naturally in the mountain like a doorway, well-known for being glided through by a world-class stuntman in a wing suit. To reach the hole, you can climb for about half an hour up the "Stairway to Gate".

Down from Tianmen Mountain, you will start to visit Tujia Ethnic Park after lunch. With an area of over 5 hectares, Tujia Folk Custom Park is originally a summer resort of local Tujia King and now is used to demonstrate Tujia people's history, folk custom, food, Tujia sing and song performance, pictures and more facts. It is a mountainous ethnic garden with a group of Diaojiaolo, wooden buildings of Tujia people's houses.

Tianmenshan Mountain

Day 11Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan

Sites Visited: Wulingyuan Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

After breakfast, you will be driven about 40 minutes to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Wulingyuan Scenic Area, where Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain are the two most classical and popular attractions.

Take a cable car up Tianzi Mountain, and you will see large areas of grotesque peaks thrusting up below. Walking along the steps spectacular views unfold in front of you from different angles. Lunch is very simple Chinese style and will be arranged at a local restaurant on the mountain. There is a McDonald’s on the mountain, and if you prefer we can have lunch there, and have a good rest indoors with air-conditioning.

In the afternoon, ride a public shuttle bus to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, whose mountains are said to be the inspiration for Avatar’s Hallelujah Mountain. This area is the most visited area due to its fame. It takes about 1 hour to walk the tourist trails before you take the shuttle bus for the cable car down the mountain.

There is another option for getting down the mountain — Bailong Elevator. This glass elevator was built on the side of a cliff, and it claims to be the world’s highest of its kind. It takes only 2 minutes, but at peak times you might need to queue one or two hours to take it. If you are interested in taking the elevator, tell your guide in advance, so that he/she can arrange beforehand to avoid the long queues.

Wulingyuan Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Day 12Zhangjiajie/Shanghai

Zhangjiajie is a 56 square-kilometer national forest park inside the bigger Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Hunan province. It's been open to the public since 2009 and is said to have been the inspiration behind the beautiful planet of Pandora in James Cameron's 2009 "Avatar" film.

Adjacent to Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is a recently–developed natural wonderland. With a total area of over 60 square km, it has scenic spots of mountains, streams, caves, cliffs, and forest such as Bandit Cave, One Line Sky, The Millennial Rattan, Chuangwang Pavilion, Rotten Ship Rock, Slide-way, Butterfly Spring Waterfall, and Tianhe River Sightseeing Deck.

Now, the highlight of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is the world's longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge. Spanning two cliffs in the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon area, it will stretch 430 meters (1,410 feet) long and 6 meters (20 feet) wide, hovering over a 300-meter (984-foot) vertical drop. In comparison, the Grand Canyon Skywalk in the United States is 21 meters (69 feet) in length and stands 219 meters (718 feet) above the canyon floor.

The Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie skywalk will also offer the world's highest bungee jump, stealing the title from Macau Tower's 233-meter (764-foot)-high attraction.

Then you will take a night flight to Shanghai.

Day 13Shanghai

Sites Visited: Shanghai Old Concession Area, The Bund Shanghai, Shanghai Museum

After breakfast, you will start a full day tour in Shanghai to visit the Shanghai Museum, Town God's Temple, Shikumen, Old Concession Area. Then you will have a bird view of Shanghai city on the top of Jinmao Tower and enjoy coastal sight at the Bund of Shanghai.

Today you can choose a full day tour to Suzhou or Zhujiajiao from Shanghai.
