Day 1Arrival in Zhengzhou

Welcome to Henan! Upon arrival in Zhengzhou, your local guide will meet you and escort you with a comfortable private car to check in the hotel.

Day 2Zhengzhou/Kaifeng/Zhengzhou

After breakfast, you will drive less than 1 hour to Kaifeng to visit Qingming Shanghe Garden is a large-scale cultural theme park, a replica from original landscape painting - Qingming Shanghetu. The park recreated an ancient capital scene of the Song Dynasty and became a site of China's intangible cultural heritage. After a visit to Xiangguo Temple, you will go back to Zhengzhou for overnight.

Day 3Zhengzhou/Shaolin Temple/Luoyang

Sites Visited: Shaolin Temple

Take a morning drive less than 2 hours from Zhengzhou to famous Shaolin Temple – the birth place of Shaolin Kungfu, situated in Songshan Mountain in Dengfeng city. In this UNESCO world Heritage site, you can watch the live Kungfu performance by monks and admire the impressive buildings inside mountains. Drive ahead to Luoyang in the late afternoon.

Day 4Zhengzhou

After breakfast, you will pay a full tour near Luoyang city to visit Laojunshan Mountain and Longtan Grand Canyon.

Day 5Luoyang

Sites Visited: Longmen Grottoes

After breakfast, we will drive to the Longmen Grottoes to see the dedicated carved Buddhist sculptures along the both banks of Yi River. There are 2,345 caves with 2,680 statues, over 70 stupas and 2,680 inscribed stone tablets, some of them could be dated back to 493 AD.

Another 30 minute’s drive will proceed to White Horse Temple, which is said to be the first Buddhist temple of China. Its name was from the white horses that carried the Buddhist scriptures and statues brought back from India after Buddhism was first introduced to China along the ancient Silk Road. A full day Luoyang city tour will end with a visit to Luoyang Museum for the wide range collections of relics, including pottery, painting and so on.


Longmen Grottoes

Day 6Luoyang/Shanhai Departure

If you travel to Luoyang from April 5 to May 5, you can enjoy Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival with a series of activities and peony blooming all around the downtown of Luoyang city. The festival was originated from (Mudan Hua Hui) Traditional Peony Party since the Tang Dynasty. After breakfast, enjoy the festival until you will be transfered to the airport or train station for your next destination.

Transportation & Private Transfers:

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.

 

Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

 

Entrance Fees:

All entrance fees to the scenic spots listed in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible. 

 

Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local  restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.

 

Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.

 

Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

 

Tour Arrangements:

The tour cost includes the planning, handling, booking, operation and communication charges.
