Guilin Attractions
Guilin city sits on the west bank of the Li River and has long been renowned for its unique scenery of karst formations. Cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo, visitors step into a traditional Chinese painting of river and mountains.
Diecai Hill
Situated in the northeast of Guilin by the Li River, Diecai Hill(Folded Brocade Hill) is one of the most popular local attractions, a place known for its amazing scenery and stone carvings. It gained its name because of the resemblance of its rock formations, piled up layer upon layer on each other, to folded brocade.
Fubo Hill
Fubo Hill(Wave-Subduing Hill) is 120 meters long, 60 meters wide and 213 meters high. It stands solitarily in the northeast of the city and on west bank of Li River with half of the hill stretching into the river. Waves run back wherever they meet the blocks, hence the name "wave-subduing Hill".

Moon Hill
The Moon Hill in Yangshuo is a huge slice of rock with a round hole in its center. There is a 800 steps marble paved mountain path, in which visitors can reach the hill top. At various angles it resembles from the new moon to a full moon. The rock measures approximate 380 m (height) by 400 m (length) by 220 m (width).
Reed Flute Cave
Reed Flute Cave, known as "the Palace of Natural Arts", is located in the northwest of Guilin City , 5 kilometers away from the center of the city. It is a cave on the southern shoulder of the Guangming Hill (Bright Hill) and is one of the most extraordinary scenic spots in Guilin.
San Jiang Village
The ancient village still retains its ancient architecture and the local Dong Minority people maintain their centuries old traditions and culture. Wearing their traditional clothing, the locals go about life as they have for generations. Mostly a farming society, the village is surrounded by picturesque rice paddies.
Seven Star Park
Seven Star Park (Qi xing Gongyuan), is located on the eastern side of the Li River, 1 kilometer from the city center. Deriving its name from a cave called Seven-Star Cave. Seven-Star Park covers an area of 40 hectares. Being the largest comprehensive and most beautiful park in Guilin , it features fantastic hills, rivers, caves and rocks. Located in the center, Seven-Star Hill consists of Putuo Hill with four peaks and Crescent Hill with three peaks. The southern entrance straddles the ancient Floral Bridge . Dragon Retreat Cave near the southern gate houses great numbers of stone tablets.
Shangri-la
Yangshuo Shangri-la theme park is located on the side of road. Shangri-La is an ideal world presented for display but it also includes the real world of the enchanting Yangshuo County mountains water, fields and traditional customs. Visitors can forget temporarily the hustle and bustle of busy city life, relax and enjoy themselves in the setting of a traditional Chinese agricultural society.

Yangshuo West Street
West Street, with a history of more than 1,400 years,is the oldest street in Yangshuo, Guilin. it is Situated at the center of Yangshuo County. Since the 1980's, West street has become a window of eastern and western culture and the biggest 'foreign language center' in China. It is the most flourishing district in Yangshuo, and each year, about100,000 foreigners come here for travel or to attend advanced studies. Visitors are attracted to West Street by its unique mix of cultures.
Taohua River
Taohua River is the main tributary of the Li River, where the atmosphere is tranquil and beautiful. Cruise on Taohua River especially at night will show you the colorful river scenery of Guilin.
The Big Banyan
The Big Banyan is a famous attraction in Yangshuo. It is under this tree that The Third Sister Liu declared her admiration to her lover The A'niu.
Silver Cave
when you visit silver cave (or Yinzi Cave), you will be greatly impressed by its high hollow sky, deep underground river, impending waterfall and dense stalagmite, all these kinds of wonderful sights will make you acclaim:"The silver cave is really a fairyland, it is one of the best scenic caves in China".
Butterfly Spring Park
Butterfly Spring Park is located in the best traveling place of Moon Hill Scenic Area in Yangshuo, occupying an area of 36,000 square meters (8.9 acres). It is named after a butterfly-like stalactite found in a grotto of this beautiful park. As a locale which brings together both a unique landscape and a rural setting, it is a typical representative of ecotourism sites in Yangshuo.
Longsheng Hot Spring National Forest Park
Situated in Longsheng, a multi-ethnic autonomous county in Guangxi Autonomous Region, Longsheng Hot Springs National Forest Park is 132 kilometers (about 82 miles) northwest of Guilin. Covering an area of 260 hectares (about 642 acres), the park boasts a dense primeval forest, various rare animals and plants, as well as its famous hot springs. The weather here is very pleasant with an average year round temperature of 17C (about 63F) providing a nice escape from the summer heat.
Yinshui Dong Village
Situated 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) west of Longsheng County, Guilin City, Yinshui Dong Village is a typical Dong village with a picturesque scenery. It is built in a valley, and the mountain slopes are very steep. The waterfall is like a silver chain hanging off the mountain slope, hence the attractive name of Yinshui: 'Silver Water'.

Li River Cruise
Cruising on Li River is always a pleased thing. You can breathe the fresh air, feel gentle breeze and appreciate the fabulous landscape on both sides of Li River. In spring, tourists may stand on the front of a boat and let the mizzle falls onto their faces. It is really a wonderful experience.
Impressions of Liu San Jie
This is the world largest natural theater which utilizes the waters of the Li River as its stage, with twelve mist shrouded hills and the heavens as its backdrop. Mist, rain, moonlight, the hills and their inverted reflections in the river all become the ever-changing natural background. Its auditorium is housed on the natural islands of the river with the audience standing on the designed terraces, surrounded by green plants.
Longji Terraced Rice Fields
This is the most amazing terrace in China, the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces.It is said, 'Where there is soil, there is a terrace', be it in the valley, with swift flowing river to the mountains summit with its swirling cloud cover, or from bordering verdant forest to the cliff walls. Even though the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces is large, it is made up of numerous patches no more than 1 mu (it is a traditional unit of area in China, currently call shimu) (about 0.16 acres).
Elephant Trunk Hill
Elephant Trunk Hill stands majestically in the downtown area of Guilin city, at the junction of the Li River & the Peach Blossom River. The name was chosen because the hill looks like a giant elephant dipping its trunk into the river. The green water of Li River in front of it and the clear spring at the foot make Elephant Trunk Hill one of the most famous hills in Guilin City .
Daxu Village
Daxu Ancient Town is situated at the east bank of the Li River, 23 km (14.3 miles) southeast of Guilin City. Having a history of more than 1000 years, the town originally formed in the early Northern Song Dynasty (960-1126) and was the leader of four renowned ancient towns in Guangxi Province as early as 600 years ago.
Yulong River
Yulong River, also called Little Li River, rises in Lingui County inYangshuo. The river is about 43 kilometers (26 miles) long, with a drainage area of approximately 158 square kilometers (39,043 acres). The part of the river that stretches from Yulong Bridge in Baisha Town, to Gongnong Bridge near Big Banyan, is known as the Yulong River Scenic Area, and includes some spectacular scenic views along each river bank.
