Direct Flights Linking Guiyang with More Cities Worldwide

China Southern Airlines officials said on Oct 4 that they plan to open more direct air routes from the city of Guiyang, Guizhou province to cities in Japan, South Korea and Europe.

It will give direct flights to more than 20 cities in China and abroad, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Urumqi on the Chinese mainland, Taipei in Taiwan, Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand, and Osaka, Japan by the end of 2017.

The airline's Guizhou branch says it also wants to increase the number of Boeing 737 aircraft it uses to 35 by the end of 2020, while it expects an annual throughput of passengers of 7-million and annual cargo throughput of 870 million tons.
