Zhanjiang Rated among Top 3 Best Winter Resorts in China

The fourth list of 50 best resorts to visit in winter in China was released on Dec 22 in Hong Kong. The city of Zhanjiang in Guangdong province ranked the third on the list.

The selection was based on the requirements of a quality ecological environment in winter, full-fledged winter touring facilities available during the winter months, and supporting services and entertainment programs.

According to an official of the city's tourism administration, Zhanjiang was rated as the third for several reasons.

The average temperature of the city stands at 23 C all year, providing a pleasant and lush environment to visitors. With an urban green coverage of 45.8 percent, the city was listed among the top three cities in China in terms of the quality of urban environment. The Zhanjiang city is also a coastal ecological demonstration city at the national level.

As the cold winter of northern China begins, the city has rolled out plenty of touring plans for visitors from across those areas and the entire country.

Other top ten best winter resorts on the list are Sanya in Hainan; Xishuangbanna, Lincang and Kunming in Yunnan; Beihai and Nanning in Guangxi; Panzhihua in Sichuan; Zhangzhou in Fujian and Zhuhai in Guangdong province.
