China Eastern Airlines adds more flights to Austra

China Eastern Airlines will increase the flight frequency between China and Australia from late November during the peak travel season.

There will be 34 round-trip flights a week, including two a day betweenShanghai-Sydney and between Shanghai-Melbourne. There will be threeBeijing-Nanjing-Sydney and three Shanghai-Cairns flights every week. There will also be a code-sharing service with Qantas Airways between Australia and China provided by China Eastern Airlines. Not only can passengers choose from 38 flights from Shanghai to Sydney or Melbourne, but they can also travel between Shanghai and any city in Australia and New Zealand by transiting via Sydney or Melbourne with the help of the code-sharing service.The cities include Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Cairns, Perth, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Moreover, passengers can departfrom Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Cairns or Perth to Shanghai via Singapore.

Passengers taking these flights will enjoy membership treatment and points accumulation because China Eastern Airlines has signed a contract with Qantas on points exchange for all their members in their frequent flyer program.The plane used on the route is the newest A330-200. The business class section is equipped with full-flat seats . All seats have an entertainment system. Flexible baggage allowance is a bonus for passengers choosing the route. For transit passengers, their checked luggage will be sent to their destination directly.Baggage allowance for economy class is two pieces and 23 kilograms each while business class is two pieces and 32 kilograms each, and even more for passengers holding gold and silver cards. Business class passengers departing from Australia can enjoy a shuttle service to Shanghai’s downtown area. Reservation is needed when booking.
