Upon arrival at Shanghai airport, you'll be met by your local tour guide. Your driver is ready to pick you up at the Longyang Road station, and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of today is at your leisure.

After breakfast, you'll visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, a must-see for all true Shanghainophiles to witness how Shanghai became a cosmopolitan city from a shabby fishing village. Then walk leisurely around the beautiful Yuyuan Garden, a pleasant enough, well-contained classical Chinese garden, and savor some local flavor snacks at the Yuyuan Market. Later to visit the French Concession to appreciate its old French-style villas and special colonial culture. Optional: In the evening, enjoy the breathtaking Acrobatic Show.

After breakfast, head to the famous Bund to witness Shanghai's skyline, and stroll along China's No.1 shopping street, Nanjing Road. Then ascend the World Financial Center (Jinmao Tower) to get an amazing bird's eye view of this metropolis. Then continue to Jade Buddha Temple to admire the largest Jade Buddha in the world and exquisite religious artifacts. Being free until transferred to the airport and take a flight to Guilin, the most beautiful city of China. Upon your arrival in Guilin, be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of today is free to explore the scenic city at your own.

After breakfast, you'll be driven to Zhujiang Pier to cruise the Li River, a must-do for any Guilin tourists and a mile-long natural gallery. This was what Bill Clinton said:‘I heard of the name of Li River long ago. Today I visit Li River. It is more vivid and genuine than what I thought before. Nowhere is like Guilin. It makes me think of the traditional Chinese paintings.’ After about 4 hours cruise, disembark at Yangshuo, the paradise of Guilin. Check in your hotel, the rest of today is free to explore Yangshuo and find out why West Street is so popular among tourists.

Being driven back to Guilin after breakfast (1.5~2 hrs), and have an essential Guilin city tour. The first stop surely is the Elephant Trunk Hill, the city symbol. Then head to visit the fabulous Reed Flute Cave to see the beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers with various shapes. After the tour, be escorted to the airport for your flight to Chengdu, home of the cute giant panda. Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel by the local guide.

On this day, you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, followed by a trip to the Wenshu Temple, where you can spend some time sitting in its tea house enjoying a cup of traditional Chinese tea and absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu and Jinli Old Street.

You will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Lhasa (about 2 hour's flight). Welcome to Tibet! Your local guide will meet you upon your arrival in Gonggar airport and will escort you to Lhasa. On the 2-hour drive way, you'll enjoy the heart-stopping views along the Yarlong Tsangpo River. After arrival at your hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the local area and acclimatize yourself to this high altitude city at the top of the world.

The overwhelming Potala Palace is your first stop. As the symbol of Tibet, it was built in 641 AD and was the winter palace of Dalai Lama who is Tibet's pope. Impressive Tibetan architecture, huge golden Buddha statues, red-robed lamas and devoted pilgrims all make it a must-visit. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Jokhang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibet. Every day, pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek here from long distances to worship. Finally, walk the special circular pilgrimage route as local followers always do at Barkhor Street.

After breakfast, you are driven to visit the Norbulingka Park, the former summer palace of Dalai Lama, and then come to Drepung Monastery, once the largest Monastery housing 10,000 monks in its heyday. Your tour ends at Sera Monastery, and the 'Buddhism Scriptures Debating' in Sera is very famous. Enjoy the debate!

Today is free for you until to be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Xian. After arrival in Xian, be transferred to your hotel, and the rest of the day is free for you to explore the ancient heart of China at your own.

In the afternoon, visit the Ancient City Walls, the largest and best-kept city walls on earth. Strolling and cycling on the Walls is quite an enjoyable experience. Today’s tour ends to visit the Bell Tower, a famous landmark of Xian ancient city.

Today after breakfast, you'll visit the Great Mosque, a tranquil and historic mosque that has served Xian’s Muslim community for more than a millennium. By the way, you'll stop by the Muslim Community. Then head to the age-old Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of the old-line Xian, a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. In the afternoon you will appreciate Chinese calligraphy and stele culture at Forest of Stone Steles Museum. In the evening you will be transferred to the train station for your nighttrain for the 1st class softsleeper to Pingyao.

After you took off your train your local guide will meet you and take you to have breakfast for local food. After you will be driven to Pingyao's Ancient City Wall. Used as a defensive network for the city, the gates and gate towers are very impressive. You will then be driven to the Rishengchang Exchange Shop. The shop was essentially China’s first bank and the shop is in a fantastic state of preservation including its secret vaults which held their client’s gold. After visiting the exchange shop you will be driven to the Ming and Qing Street. Lined with ancient architecture, this street shows visitors what shopping was like during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

In the morning, after you have had breakfast in your hotel, your local guide will meet you and you will be driven to You will first visit the Qiao Family's Mansion. Built by successive generations of the Qiao family, this mansion is one of the most opulent in China. It was used as the backdrop for many movies including the famous “Hang the Red Lantern”. After lunch you will head to Pingyao's Shuanglin Temple. Built over 1,400 years ago, the temple is famed for its more than 2,000 sculptures which represent the height of artistry in the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasty. After visiting the temple, you will be driven to Taiyuan to visit the Twin Pagoda Temle. In the evening you will take on your nighttrain for the 1st class softsleeper to Beijing.

Today's tour begins to visit the Tiananmen Square, the world's largest plaza. In the afternoon, you'll marvel at the Temple of Heaven where the emperors worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest.

This morning tour will take you to size up the world-famous Great Wall (Badaling section), the key symbol of China. Flexible visiting time allows you to enjoy a lifetime trekking trip (1-2 hours' hiking), or witness the breathtaking views of this man-made wonder by taking a cable car. After the Wall visit, you'll take a leisurely stroll along the tranquil Sacred Road to explore the Ding Tomb of Ming Imperial Tombs.
