In the morning, you'll start by visiting the iconic Tiananmen Square. Walking through Tiananmen Gate, you'll then step into the splendid Forbidden City—a grand imperial palace with a 600-year royal history that leaves every visitor in awe of its magnificent palaces, delicate ancient decorations, and profound royal stories. After lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, you'll wander through old Beijing Hutongs to experience authentic local life. You'll also join a fun hands-on activity: painting your own Peking Opera facial mask, a precious representative of traditional Chinese folk art.

Sites Visited: Sites Visited: Mutianyu Great Wall, Sacred Road, Exterior Visit of Bird’s Nest & Water Cube

Today you will explore the spectacular Mutianyu Great Wall, famous for rolling mountain ridges and well-preserved ramparts. Later you visit the Sacred Road lined with ancient stone statues, an important relic near the Ming Tombs. In the late afternoon, you will be driven past the Beijing Olympic Park to view the landmark Bird’s Nest National Stadium and Water Cube National Aquatics Center from outside.

After breakfast you are going to make your way to the Temple of Heaven, a world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site that once served as a sacred place where emperors prayed for bountiful harvests to take in its distinctive ancient Chinese sacrificial architecture and serene garden surroundings. Following your sightseeing, you will transfer to the airport for your departing flight.
