In the morning, you will start your city exploration at Central Street, Harbin’s most famous pedestrian boulevard paved with historic stone blocks. Then you can walk through the wellpreserved Europeanstyle buildings. And it blends local snacks, specialty stores and centuryold charm. You may taste classic local treats such as Madier icecream and tanghulu (candied hawthorn) along the street. Next, you will admire the exterior of Saint Sophia Cathedral, a landmark Byzantinestyle Russian Orthodox building with striking onionshaped domes, one of the best photographed icons of Harbin both in day and night. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be driven to Siberian Tiger Park, a worldmajor conservation base for endangered Siberian tigers. Observe these powerful big cats roaming in semiwild habitats from a sightseeing vehicle. Later you can head for Sun Island to appreciate magnificent largescale snow sculptures created by artists from home and abroad. Elaborate snowcarved figures and architectural models present a dreamy snow kingdom. After sunset, you can visit Harbin Ice and Snow World, the crown jewel of Harbin winter tourism.
