Throughout its history, the harbour has seen numerous reclamation projects undertaken on both shores, but still retains its founding role as a port for thousands of international vessels each year.It is the world's 3rd largest harbor and the 1st in China.

Ocean Park Hong Kong is the largest marine-themed park in Southeast Asia and one of the biggest amusement parks in the world, covering an area of approximately 900,000 square meters. It is located on the southern part of Hong Kong Island, lying between Aberdeen and Repulse Bay. Wong Tai Sin Temple

Wong Tai Sin Temple Hong Kong is located at Lion Rock in the north part of Kowloon Peninsula. Known for its fortune-tellers, Wong Tai Sin Temple receives many local and overseas visitors every year. It is set in a tranquil setting remote from the nearby skyscrapers and the bustle street. Apart from being important religious place, it is also a scenic attraction full of traditional Chinese architectures. History of Temple Wong Tai Sin Temple is dedicated to Wong Tai Sin (his real name is Wong Chuping), a shepherd who began following Taoism at the age of 15. After 40 years, he reached enlightenment and became a deity at Heng Shan (Red Pine Hill). It is said that Wong Tai Sin rescues the dying, heals the wounded, and punishes all evil. Furthermore, he grants whatever is requested of him. The temple is not a very old building, it was built in 1921. Liang Ren-an, a Taoist Priest brought sacred portrait of Wong Tai Sin from Guangdong to Hong Kong at that time. The influence of Wong Tai Sin became to spread in Hong Kong from that time. On special occasions like Chinese Lunar New Year, 1st and 15th day of every lunar Month, the temple is flooded with prayers. They lay out the sacrifice like chicken or piglet then pray with burning incense for health and fortune. The fortune telling begins with the shaking of bamboo sticks. All the worship sticks are put in a bamboo cylinder; you pray then shake it until a bamboo sticks fall out. Pick the stick and exchange for a piece of paper. The fortune teller will explain the meaning and the future of wishes.

Polin Monastery is the must-visited site for prayers in Hong Kong; it is also a cultural and natural site popular among tourists. Polin Monastery is located on the Lantau Island of Hong Kong, built in 1924 by three Buddhists. It was originally a small temple; many constructions were added through the history. Giant Buddha was built and set in the temple in 1993 and made a new record. The big Buddha, also called Tian Tan Buddha, is the world's largest seated bronze Buddha Statue. The figure is consisted of 200 pieces of bronze, with a height in 26 meters and weight at 220 ton. It is the world's tallest, outdoor, seated bronze Buddha. The Giant Buddha is seated on the top of Ngong Ping plateau, in front of the Polin Monastery. Visitors can climb 268 steps to reach the platform where the Buddha is seated. Its eyes, lips and incline of the head show the character of Buddha; its right hand raised, means deliver blessing to all.

Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre is the most important exhibition and convention venue in Hong Kong. The impressive building is located in the heart of Wanchai and next to ferry Pier and can be accessed by the scenic Star Ferry. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) opened in November 1988, after which Hong Kong's exhibition industry experienced a period of rapid growth enabling Hong Kong to establish its position as Asia's trade fair capital and a premier international convention and meeting location. Rising from reclaimed land an artificial island, the exhibition center become fairly symbolic and important building as the spot of hand-over of Hong Kong back to China in 1997. It has become a major venue for many major ceremonies, exhibitions and expos. The new wing of the exhibition center is in a bird-shaped, with its unique harbor-facing glass curtain wall which is the largest in the world offers spectacular view over Central, Tsim Sha Tsui and Harbour. It is the new and most prominent landmark around Victoria Harbor.

Happy Valley Racecourse

Horse racing, the highlight of Hong Kong, is the most popular attraction that attracts millions of visitors every year. It is talked throughout the world as most people enjoy the excitement of horse racing and maybe gambling on the races. Happy Valley Racecourse is the place that offers a day of recreation. The Happy Valley Racecourse Hong Kong is located at the low-lying area located between Wan Chai and Causeway Bay. It was built in 1845 on a swampland and the first horse-racing was held there in 1846. From that time on, horse racing become popular in Hong Kong day by day and now Hong Kong is recognized internationally as a racing venue and is favorite spectator sport among Hong Kong residents, many of whom like to have a flutter on the horses. Happy Valley venue which can accommodate up to 35000 race-goers has advanced tracks, giant computer screens and other modern facilities. Tsing Ma Bridge

Tsing Ma Bridge Hong Kong, linking the Tsing Yi and Ma Wun Island, over the Ma Wun Channel, is the longest span suspension bridge that carrying both road and rail traffic in the world. It is the important bridge that connects Hong Kong Island, international airport and urban districts of Hong Kong. The construction of Tsing Ma Bridge began in year 1992 and completed in 1997, with a total length of 2160 meters and main span length at 1, 377 meters. The towers supporting the bridge are 206 meters high with a clearance of 62 meters. Approximately 49,000 tones of structural steel were used in the construction of the bridge, which cost HK$7.14 billion to build. The Tsing Ma Bridge carries six-lane open roadway with two railway lines and a two-lane road enclosed beneath. It is regarded as one of the top 10 construction projects in last century and rivaling the Golden Gate Bridge, French Channel Tunnel and so on.

Hong Kong Man Mo Temple

Man Mo Temple - One of the oldest and most famous and beautiful temples in Hong Kong is Man Mo Temple. It is located at the intersection of Hollywood Road and Ladder Street. The temple is devoted towards two deities – Man the god of literature and Mo the god of war. History of the Temple The Man Mo Temple Hong Kong was built in early 19th century, at the beginning of the British colonial rule in Hong Kong Island. Although it has been remodeled several times, the temple still maintains its original appearance. The copper bell set in the temple made during the reign of Daoguang of Qing Dynasty, is the great proof that it has long and fascinating history.

It is best reached by taking the scenic Star Ferry across Harbour and enjoys the Harbor skyline scenery at the same time. There are many harbor front hotels facing the renowned Hong Kong Island, providing magnificent view around, like Intercontinental Hong Kong, Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong, which provides great dinning experience and water views. During the city-wide celebrations, literally myriads of people gather at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront areas to view the grand fireworks display and lighting shows in festival season.

Kowloon Park

Kowloon Park - Standing on a small hill in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon Park, covering an area of 14 hectares, is former site of a military barracks. It was open to public in 1989 and it is the most popular park in Kowloon, where many territory-wide functions are regularly held. The site of Kowloon Park was firstly used as an important military base as it overlooking the Harbour. The British called it as Whitfield Barracks after 1861. The base was changed to a public park after 1970. Kowloon Park is a welcome respite from the crowds of Tsim Sha Tsui. Located above street level, the park has extensive recreation and sports facilities, including Chinese style gardens, an aviary, a sculpture exhibit, an air-conditioned game hall and an indoor heated Olymic-sized swimming pool complex.
