Eling Park


Eling Park sits on the highest ridge of Yuzhong Peninsula, the classic scenic spot to appreciate the panoramic view of Chongqing. Dating back to the late Qing Dynasty, it was originally a private villa garden named Liyuan, with a history of more than one hundred years.
Surrounded by lush ancient trees, the park features elegant pavilions, lotus ponds and winding corridors, presenting charming traditional Chinese garden scenery. The landmark Kan Sheng Tower, a seven-storey viewing tower, stands at the peak. From its top, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree overlook of the Yangtze River and Jialing River, as well as the layered mountain city landscape. Dusk and nightfall are the best visiting time, when countless city lights light up the riverbanks.

Quiet and less crowded, Eling Park is a peaceful escape from bustling downtown. You can take a slow walk, admire historic relics and capture stunning city photos. It is a wonderful stop to feel the authentic charm of old Chongqing.
