Chongqing Zoo

Chongqing Zoo, located in Jiulongpo District, is a well-known urban zoo with a history of over 70 years. Built on rolling hills and covered with thick green trees, it serves as a natural urban oxygen bar ideal for leisure travel.
The biggest highlight is its giant panda family. It is home to one of the largest groups of giant pandas among city zoos in China. Visitors can watch these cute national treasures munching bamboo, climbing trees and playing freely in the specially designed panda house. Besides giant pandas, tourists can also meet rare species including South China tigers, golden snub-nosed monkeys, red pandas and Asian elephants.

Different from bustling downtown scenic spots, the zoo offers a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Well-connected viewing paths wind through various animal zones.
