Huangguoshu waterfall

Huangguoshu Waterfall, located in Anshun, Guizhou, is Asia’s largest waterfall and a national 5A scenic spot. Standing 77.8 meters high and 101 meters wide, it’s the core of a massive cluster of 18 waterfalls, honored by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest waterfall group.

Formed over millions of years in a karst landscape, it thunders into the Xiniu Pool, with mist rising over 100 meters and rainbows often appearing in sunlight. Its fame dates back to the Ming Dynasty when explorer Xu Xiake praised its grandeur. A 134-meter-long Water Curtain Cave runs behind the falls, offering a thrilling close-up view.

Surrounded by lush green mountains, the waterfall changes with seasons: gentle in winter, turbulent in summer. As Guizhou’s premier natural landmark, it blends breathtaking scenery with geological wonder, a must-visit for nature lovers.
