Mount Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), located in southern Anhui Province, is one of China’s most celebrated natural wonders and a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site (inscribed in 1990). Revered as “No.1 Fantastic Mountain Under Heaven,” it spans about 40 km north-south and 30 km east-west, with 72 peaks rising above 1,000 meters. Its highest point, Lotus Peak (1,864.8 m), together with Bright Summit and Tiandu Peak, forms the iconic trio of summits.
Hot Springs: Mineral-rich hot springs flow from the mountain’s core, ideal for relaxation.
Winter Snow: Snow and ice transform Huangshan into a crystal wonderland.Beyond its natural beauty, Huangshan has inspired countless poets, painters, and scholars for millennia. Ancient trails, pavilions, and temples blend harmoniously with the landscape, reflecting profound Chinese cultural traditions.
A popular saying goes: “After seeing the Five Sacred Mountains, no other mountains are worth seeing; after seeing Huangshan, even the Five Sacred Mountains pale in comparison”.
