Qi Heritage Museum

Qi Heritage Museum, also known as Qi Culture Museum, sits in Linzi District, Zibo, Shandong, the ancient capital of the State of Qi (1044–221 BC). Opened in 2016, it covers a total complex area of 152,000 square meters, containing five themed pavilions: the core Qi Culture Museum, Cuju Football Museum, Ancient Chariot Museum, Dongsun Tomb Museum and folk exhibition zones.

As a national second-class museum, it stores over 30,000 relics, with more than 4,100 sets on show. Star treasures include bronze sacrificial vessels and well-preserved Qi knife-shaped coins, the finest collection worldwide. Exhibitions trace 800 years of Qi history, featuring the prosperous Linzi capital, Jixia Academy, and Cuju—the earliest form of football born here.

Its twisted calendar-shaped exterior symbolizes long-lasting Qi civilization. Admission is free; it closes every Monday except holidays. Tourists can explore ancient politics, economy, philosophy and sports culture, gaining deep insight into one of China’s most powerful pre-Qin kingdoms.
