
Located in Zibo Cultural Center, Shandong Province, Zibo Ceramic And Glass Museum is a national first-class museum and 4A scenic area, the largest professional museum of ceramics and colored glass in China. It evolved from China Ceramics Hall founded in 2002, moved to the new venue in 2018 and fully opened in 2019, offering free admission to all visitors.
The 50,000-square-meter building holds 25 exhibition halls across five floors, housing over 25,000 collections with more than 16,000 exquisite works on display. Exhibits span 10,000 years, covering Neolithic pottery, Qi Dynasty bronze pottery, ancient celadon, and precious glass relics from Western Zhou onwards. Its top treasures include the Northern Dynasties green-glazed lotus vase and Warring States dragonfly-eye glass beads.
It showcases masterpieces from major Chinese ceramic bases and artworks from over 20 countries. Equipped with VR and interactive craft zones, tourists can experience hand-making pottery and glass. As an intangible cultural heritage showcase, it perfectly interprets Zibo’s millennial legacy as China’s renowned capital of ceramics and colored glass, attracting millions of global visitors yearly.
